  • The more help and research the better lives we can lead.

  • Mental health research has the potential to contribute extensively to everyone's quality of life. Not only has it been underfunded in relation to less-stigmatised health problems, it has been far too narrow in its range of research designs and methodologies, made worse by the marginalisation of research into minority group experiences. In short, we are used to an underfunded, medication-focused and normalising research agenda, and we would be wise to begin dismantling this stranglehold.
