I am a mental health nurse and understand the impact mental ill health can have on the individual, family, firnds and the community. The more we understand the more equiped we are to help and assist one another instead of isolating those effected.
I work for a high support mental health housing association and mental health research is so important for our understanding and getting individuals back in to independant living as quickly possible.
i work as a project coordinator with 'Planet B'- a drop in centre in Antrim Northern Ireland.The centre acts as a resource centre for men in the surrounding area experiencing emotional and psychological problems. As a psychiatric nurse i believe that evidenced based practice is the way forward in mental helath services, that we should continually seek out new research and practices that benefit the clients that have entrusted us with their care.
As I am Psychiatrist with total expereince of 7 years including 1 year in Australia.I have already done few research projects.Love to pursue as a Career. or just part of academic work
